The Bangladesh cricket team took a break from their Champions Trophy campaign on Sunday to dine at London’s famed South Asian restaurant, The Red Fort.
Lying at the heart of London’s Soho, The Red Fort is renowned for its Mughal court cooking and combination of high-quality British produce and refined South Asian flavours.
A special menu was prepared for the Tigers to fill themselves up at one of the hottest hangouts in London.
Bangladesh’s tournament was off to a rocky start on Thursday as they lost to hosts England by eight wickets.
Their next match is against Australia at the Oval on Monday. And the delicious dishes perhaps warmed the Tigers’ hearts and girded them for the challenge to come.
The restaurant’s special menu for the occasion is reproduced below:

HALEEM: Hyderabadi spiced pureed lamb
JHINGA LIME-LEAF: Prawns, kafir lime-lime-leaf, chilli, fennel, mustard seed
LUCKNOWI MURGH: Chicken pieces, saffron, coriander, red chilli sauce
DUM-PUKHT BIRYANI: Lamb & rice with spices, steamed in a sealed pot
DAL TADKA: tempered yellow lentils, turmeric, cumin & garlic
NIRAMISH: Stir-fried mixed vegetables, green chilli & spices
