Export to Turkey dips to five-year low

The country’s merchandise export to Turkey dipped to a five-year low as it declined to $631.63 million in the past fiscal year (FY17).

Thus, annual export to Turkey dropped by 4.57 per cent, according to the latest statistics of the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB).

EPB data also showed that Bangladesh’s export to Turkey was $631.81 million in FY13 which jumped to $856.20 million in FY14.

But it dropped to $720.88 million in FY15 which further declined to $661.88 million in FY16.
