Nepal e-GP System engages Dohatec

The contract for operation and maintenance support for National Electronic Government Procurement (e-GP) System of the Nepal was secured by Dohatec New Media along with DG Market International Nepal, said a statement.

The contract was secured through international bidding and was signed on Thursday in Kathmandu with the Public Procurement Monitoring Office (PPMO), which is in the Office of the Prime Minister of Nepal.

Luna Shamsuddoha, Chairman, Dohatec New Media, met with Madhu Prasad Regmi, Secretary, Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, Public Procurement Monitoring Office, Government of Nepal, on signing of the contract. Manish Bhattarai, Director PPMO, Yagya Raj Koirala, Joint Secretary, and Aditya Jha, DG Market, were present on the occasion.

Nepal e-GP was initially supported by the Asian Development Bank that engaged Price Waterhouse Coopers. Under the present contract Dohatec along with DG Market will deliver services to manage application and all infrastructure setup of the e-GP system. It will help debug and resolve real time issues and enhance the features and functionalities of the system to improve the overall system performance.

Dohatec is the e-GP system vendor for the government of Bhutan and has been involved in Bangladesh's Public Procurement MIS and e-GP System for over a decade.
