Novartis (Bangladesh) Limited, in partnership with educational voluntary organisation ‘Bidyanondo Foundation’, has celebrated its 22nd annual Community Partnership Day.

To celebrate the occasion, 120 Novartis associates on Sunday joined their hands to support more than 350 street children and homeless people through different activities and projects.

The associates were engaged in different volunteer programmes such as cooking and distributing food among the street children, playing games, telling stories and sharing knowledge on the day.

They also presented dresses, shoes, and school bags to the deprived children as Eid gifts under their ‘happiness distribution’ initiative, says a media release.

The Country President and Managing Director of the company Sheikh Nahar Mahmud said, "Community Partnership Day provides Novartis associates a unique opportunity to demonstrate their commitment to the society.”

“It opens an avenue for returning more to the society by involving our associates in helping the underprivileged and spreading the message of individual and corporate social responsibility," he said.

More than 23,900 Novartis associates across six continents and 58 countries are supporting non-profit and local organisations, representing more than 191,200 hours of combined community service.
