Robi Axiata PLC has introduced eco-friendly Robi Super Bikes for its field staff to support sustainable mobility and strengthen digital service delivery across rural Bangladesh.
The electric bikes, designed for the company’s field staff, aim to ensure faster, greener, and more efficient customer service in upazilas and unions nationwide.
The initiative aligns with Robi’s commitment to environmental sustainability and supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), says a media release.
Unlike conventional fuel-powered motorcycles, the Robi Super Bikes run on electricity and produce zero emissions, helping reduce the carbon footprint in rural communities.
Shihab Ahmad, chief commercial officer of Robi Axiata PLC, said, “The Robi Super Bikes represent a significant step forward in our efforts to promote sustainable mobility while strengthening our service delivery across rural Bangladesh.”
“By empowering our field staff with eco-friendly electric bikes, we are reducing our carbon footprint and ensuring faster, more reliable customer service in even the most remote areas. This initiative reflects Robi’s commitment to innovation, environmental responsibility, and our mission to bring digital services closer to every community,” he said.
The bikes are equipped with a range of features. These include a convertible cargo box, an umbrella, mobile and lamp charging via USB ports, and an audio hand microphone for public awareness campaigns.
To enhance safety and operational monitoring, the bikes also include advanced technology such as face-recognition bike unlock, geo-fencing, and real-time movement tracking.
