‘Vim Presents Cookups Night Bazaar’ was organised recently at the capital’s MIDAS Centre.

The biggest utensil cleaner brand by Unilever- Vim and the country’s biggest homemade online food marketplace - Cookups jointly organised the event featuring homemade iftar, dinner, sehri and crafts, said a statement.

“Daily a Bangladeshi woman spends around 1 hour 45 minutes on an average to clean their utensils. It takes more time because they use ash or dishwash bars for cleaning. However, Vim liquid provides faster degreasing, freeing up women’s time from daily chores so that they can work on fulfilling their dreams, become self-dependent and get more out of their life. `Vim presents Cookups Night Bazaar’ showcases the creative and soulful work they manage to do during the time that Vim unlocks” said Nusrat Khondaker, the brand manager of Vim.

“The event draws inspirations from the Middle East’s night bazaar. This initiative is designed to empower women economically in addition to giving them a chance to create their identities in the society by fulfilling their dreams. We are proud to note that Vim partners with us in this initiative. This event has featured clothes, ornaments, showpieces and crafts made by local entrepreneurs apart from food items prepared by Cookups registered cooks,” said Namira Hossain, CEO of Cookups.

Nearly 25 organisations including Cookups, Footloose Bd, Aranya, MUCHI, Muze, Stav Clothing, LongSpring, Hulo Kraft, Kraftz, parmeeda.com, Shashyaprabartana, Khaas Food, B's Closet, The Attire Affair, Maku, SoaperStar, Kajoli Kantha, Junk Art, BookmyLook, Home Junction, Bangla Haat participated in the event.

Daraz.com.bd, an international e-commerce platform, patronized the event, while Radio Dhol 94.0 FM was its radio partner.
