IT is a matter of great regret that Khondoker Abu Talha from Comilla and a student of CSE department of Daffodil International University (DIU) died as some unknown muggers stabbed him while he was on his way to the university from Gopibag in the capital. His fault was that he protested against some criminals when they were snatching valuables from an unknown pedestrian on October 08, 2017. He was only 19.
We rarely find such a brave person in our society today. We are used to seeing indifferent faces all around us when some one is in grave danger. Talha was an exception. His untimely death lays bare the failure of the law enforcing agencies as well as people who remain indifferent in the face of cruelty to an innocent human being.
We want no more deaths like this and we hope the muggers behind this murder will be brought to justice. We are proud of Talha and salute him for his bravery.
