Dhaka-Chittagong highway

Updated :

The Dhaka-Chittagong 8-lane highway was inaugurated by the honourable prime minister recently. It will reduce the journey time between the two major cities of the country significantly and bring relief for vehicles and the commuters and vice versa. It is the first 8-lane highway in the country and therefore a landmark in the history of our communication network.
Traders and exporters will be happier as it will be easier and more convenient and less time-consuming for movement of their merchandise between the two cities and onward shipment for export. Foreign buyers will also be happy to see better connectivity between Dhaka and Chittagong. It is a landmark project and when it gets fully completed, it will only take four hours or even less to commute between Dhaka and Chittagong. Most of the country's business and commerce centres around these two cities and the highway will definitely add a new dimension to our infrastructure development initiative. It will help bring more investment and set up more industries for increased economic growth.
