Two people have died as Cyclone Bulbul struck India and southern Bangladesh on Saturday.

One of them was killed by an uprooted tree in West Bengal's Kolkata, and another by a wall collapse during the storm, Indian authorities said, according to media reports.

India and Bangladesh have evacuated more than 2.0 million people to safety in anticipation of the ruins the cyclone could cause while cutting through its path.
