A relative of former health minister AFM Ruhal Haque has died in a road mishap in Dhaka.
Abdus Salam, 70, a brother-in-law of Haque, was a retired public servant.
A bus hit him at Paribagh while he was crossing the street around 9 pm on Monday, said one of his friends Emdaul Haque, who was with Salam at the time of the incident.
He was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where he died around 10 pm, Emdadul said.
Doctor ‘Alauddin’ said Salam was hit in the head and died from excessive bleeding.
The former minister and their relatives went to the hospital after hearing the news of the accident.
Ramna Police Station Sub-Inspector Md Aminul Islam said they have detained the bus driver, reports bdnews24.
