A fire broke out in a tyre factory in the Nayabazar area of Chattogram on Thursday morning, said fire service officials.
Abul Malek, deputy director of Fire Service and Civil Defence (FSC) in the Chattogram divisional office, said the fire erupted in the factory located behind a madrasa in Mousumi residential area under Halishahar police station around 9:15 am.
On information, five firefighting units from several stations rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control, he said, reports UNB.
The origin of the fire could not be known immediately, the DD said.
