The listed bank disclosed its April–June financial results on Tuesday following a meeting of its board of directors, according to a filing published on its website.

Earnings per share (EPS) stood at Tk 2.55 for the April–June quarter of 2026, up from Tk 1.34 in the same period a year earlier.

The bank, which maintains one of the lowest non-performing loan (NPL) ratios in the country, significantly increased its core business income during the quarter. Lower loan-loss provisioning compared with the same period a year earlier also supported the strong growth in net profit.

The bank's interest income rose by more than 21 per cent year-on-year to Tk 22.94 billion in the second quarter from Tk 18.93 billion in the same period last year. Meanwhile, interest expenses increased at a slower pace of 16.83 per cent to Tk 17.36 billion from Tk 14.86 billion a year earlier.

Besides strong growth in interest income, the bank's investment income rose by nearly 25 per cent year-on-year to Tk 13.23 billion. Income from commissions, foreign exchange and brokerage also increased by more than 36 per cent to Tk 6.90 billion.

Loan-loss provisions declined by 44 per cent year-on-year to Tk 1.54 billion during the quarter, further supporting the bank's bottom line.

Meanwhile, BRAC Bank's share price fell 0.93 per cent to close at Tk 64.10 on the Dhaka Stock Exchange on Tuesday.
