Trust Bank PLC reported a 13.3 per cent year-on-year decline in consolidated profit for the second quarter (April-June) of 2026.

According to the bank's price-sensitive information (PSI), its consolidated net profit after tax fell to Tk 923.8 million in the April-June quarter from Tk 1.06 billion in the same period a year earlier.
Consequently, consolidated earnings per share (EPS) declined to Tk 0.93 for the quarter, compared with Tk 1.07 in the corresponding period of 2025.
For the first half of 2026, consolidated net profit after tax dropped 11.8 per cent year-on-year to Tk 1.19 billion from Tk 1.35 billion in the same period last year.
The bank's consolidated EPS for the January-June period fell to Tk 1.20 from Tk 1.36 a year earlier.
The bank's operating cash flow also weakened during the reporting period. Consolidated net operating cash flow per share (NOCFPS) declined to Tk 23.13 for the six months ended June 30, 2026, from Tk 26.43 in the corresponding period of 2025.
However, the bank's balance sheet strengthened during the period. Its consolidated net asset value (NAV) increased to Tk 29.88 billion as of June 30, 2026, from Tk 26.88 billion a year earlier.
As a result, consolidated net asset value per share rose to Tk 30.06 at the end of June 2026 from Tk 27.04 a year earlier.
On a standalone basis, net profit after tax declined to Tk 954.54 million in the second quarter from Tk 1.06 billion a year earlier, while EPS slipped to Tk 0.96 from Tk 1.06.
For the January-June period, standalone net profit after tax fell to Tk 1.27 billion from Tk 1.40 billion in the corresponding period of 2025. Standalone EPS declined to Tk 1.28 from Tk 1.40.
The board of directors approved the unaudited financial statements for the second quarter ended June 30, 2026, at its 380th meeting held on Saturday.
