The government has slashed the tax revenue collection target to Tk 4.635 trillion for the current fiscal year following a negative growth in collection in the first six months.
Officials of the National Board of Revenue (NBR) confirmed the downsized targets on Sunday.
The original target was Tk 4.80 trillion for the fiscal year.
