More than four million foreign tourists visited Indonesia's Bali Island, the country's premier tourism destination, from January to July this year, up from 3.89 million in the same period last year, head of the Bali Provincial Tourism Office, I Wayan Sumarajaya, said on Tuesday.
During the same period, the number of domestic visitors to the island reached 5 million, he said in Denpasar, the provincial capital of Bali, reports Xinhua.
"From January to July 2025, foreign tourist arrivals to Bali have exceeded 4 million, while domestic visitors recorded 5 million," Sumarajaya said.
He expressed optimism that the total number of visitors to Bali this year would surpass last year's figure of 6.4 million.
Bali's cultural diversity and natural beauty remain among the island's main draws for tourists, Sumarajaya noted.
