M Moynul Haque new Pro-VC of Bangabandhu Agricultural University

Professor Dr M Moynul Haque has been appointed as the new Pro-Vice-Chancellor of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University (BSMRAU). The appointment was approved by the President of Bangladesh ann Chancellor of the university on October 17, according to a media statement Monday.

Dr Haque, a seasoned academic and administrator, has been a professor at BSMRAU since 2007. He has held several key positions within the university, including Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Registrar, Director of Planning and Development, and Director of Outreach. His extensive experience and contributions to the field of agriculture have been recognised nationally and internationally.

Prior to joining BSMRAU, Dr Haque worked as a Scientific Officer at the Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI) for over a decade. He holds a Master's degree in Agronomy from Bangladesh Agricultural University and a PhD in Agricultural Science from BSMRAU.

Dr Haque has numerous publications in national and international journals. Throughout his teaching career, he has supervised some Master's and PhD student’s thesis and research work, contributing significantly to the academic community.
