Bangladesh has reported another death of a person with measles symptoms over the past 24 hours, alongside 113 new infections.
The latest bulletin from the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), said the new cases had been registered in the 24 hours to 8am on Monday.
The DGHS has been releasing measles data since Mar 15.
So far, 94 people with confirmed cases of measles have died since the DGHS started recording data on the disease on Mar 15.
Meanwhile, another 665 people with symptoms consistent with the disease have died over the same period.
Among the deaths involving patients with measles symptoms, Dhaka Division has recorded the highest number with 287 fatalities. Next is Sylhet with 91 deaths, Rajshahi with 89, Chattogram 54, Barishal 43, Mymensingh, 63, Khulna 29 and Rangpur nine.
The DGHS said 896 people with measles symptoms sought treatment at hospitals across the country over the past day.
Of them, 856 were admitted for treatment.
Dhaka Division recorded the highest number of new hospital admissions with 306 patients.
Another 222 patients were admitted in the Chattogram Division, followed by 134 in Barishal, 62 in Sylhet, 47 in Khulna, 37 in Mymensingh, 36 in Rajshahi and 12 in Rangpur.
Since the beginning of the outbreak, 95,156 measles patients have been admitted to hospitals nationwide.
Of those, 91,483 have recovered and been discharged after treatment, according to the DGHS.
The health authorities also reported that the cumulative number of suspected measles cases in the country has reached 112,376.
The total number of confirmed measles cases now stands at 13,613.
