The Jatiya Press Club and Thailand’s Phyathai 2 International Hospital signed a memorandum of understanding at the club premises in Dhaka on Friday.
Under the agreement, members of the Jatiya Press Club and their family members will receive treatment at the hospital in Thailand at discounted rates, according to a press release.
Sorawong Siriboonpan, director of international marketing at Phyathai 2 Hospital, and Jatiya Press Club President Hasan Hafiz signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.
The signing ceremony was organised with the support of Momentum Medicare, the hospital’s representative in Dhaka.
Suwadee Nima, senior manager of international marketing at Phyathai Hospital and the official responsible for Bangladesh, and International Marketing Officer Rawisara Sangsuwan attended the event.
AKM Mohsin, convener of the Jatiya Press Club’s health services subcommittee, conducted the programme.
Jatiya Press Club Treasurer Bakhtiar Rana, managing committee members Quazi Rownak Hossain and Shahnaz Begum Poly, senior journalists Rafiqur Rahman and Bulbul Ahmed, and Dhaka Union of Journalists President Md Shahidul Islam were among those present.
