A total of 26 Bangladeshis were killed along the border in incidents of violence in January-August 2019, according to a local independent rights and legal body.
The Ain o Salish Kendra (ASK) report noted that 23 people were shot dead while three others succumbed to physical torture in the border areas in first eight months of the year.
25 persons were also abducted during the same period in the border while 20 others injured, the report added.
