Barrister Ahmad Bin Quasem Arman, son of executed Jamaat leader Mir Quasem Ali, has been declared the unofficial winner in the Dhaka-14 constituency.
According to results from all 173 polling centres, Barrister Arman secured 96,784 votes with the party’s scales symbol.
His nearest rival, Sanjida Islam Tuli of BNP, who contested with the sheaf of paddy symbol, received 80,927 votes.
With a margin of 15,857 votes, Barrister Arman was unofficially declared elected from the Dhaka-14 seat.
The final confirmation will come after the Election Commission publishes the official results.
