BNP wins all five seats in Narsingdi

BNP candidates have secured victory in all five parliamentary constituencies of Narsingdi, according to unofficial results announced by the respective returning officers.

In Narsingdi-1 (Sadar), BNP Joint Secretary General Khairul Kabir Khokon, contesting with the party’s electoral symbol “Sheaf of Paddy,” won 160,676 votes. His nearest rival, Ibrahim Bhuiyan, who contested with the “Scales” symbol, received 92,930 votes.

In Narsingdi-2 (Palash), BNP Standing Committee Member Dr Abdul Moyeen Khan secured 92,352 votes. His closest competitor, Amjad Hossain (Scales), got 55,161 votes, while Sarwar Tushar of the Jatiya Nagarik Party (NCP), contesting with the “Water Lily” symbol, received 19,236 votes.

In Narsingdi-3 (Shibpur), district BNP General Secretary Manjur Elahi won the seat with 81,415 votes. His nearest rival, Ariful Islam Mridha, contesting with the “Duck” symbol, secured 45,401 votes.

In Narsingdi-4 (Monohardi-Belabo), Sardar Sakhawat Hossain Bokul of BNP won with 161,912 votes, defeating Jahangir Alam (Scales), who received 76,445 votes.

In Narsingdi-5 (Raipura), BNP candidate Engineer Ashraf Uddin Bokul secured 135,512 votes. His nearest rival, Tajul Islam of Bangladesh Khelafat Majlis, contesting with the “Rickshaw” symbol, got 43,682 votes.
