BGB recovers firearms, ammo in C’nawabganj

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) recovered a foreign made pistol, a magazine and seven rounds of bullet from Tarapur area under Shibganj upazila of Chapainawabganj district in the early hours of Sunday.

BGB said acting on secret information, a patrol team of 53 BGB battalion from Shingnagar border outpost raided the area at around 4:15am.

The force then intercepted a person but he fled away leaving a bag. After searching the bag, BGB found the firearms and ammunition, BSS reports.

The seized weapons were deposited to Shibganj Police Station.
