Chief coordinator of the committee Kamal Abdul Naser Chowdhury handed over the 234-page report to the premier at Ganabhaban, reports BSS citing a press release.

The government on February 14 in 2019 formed two committees named, the National Committee and the National Implementation Committee, to celebrate the Birth Centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in a befitting manner.

To mark the occasion, a grand programme was organised under the initiative of the National Implementation Committee as the birth centenary of Bangabandhu and the "Mujib Borsho" began on March 17, 2020.

Due to the global Covid-19 pandemic, many programmes were conducted through digital channels, said the press release.

But the overall participation of the people was overwhelming and spontaneous, it added.

The event became a global programme as heads of states and governments of important countries of the world sent their greetings.

At that time, to inspire the countrymen, including the new generation, digital content about Bangabandhu was developed while several world-class commemorative books, compilations and souvenirs were also published. In addition, an opening ceremony titled "Muktir Mahanayak" and a 10-day programme titled "Mujib Chirantan" were organised.

A two-day event titled "Mahabijaya Mahanayak" and a closing ceremony titled "Tungipara: Hridoye Pithribhoomi" were also arranged, which was widely appreciated.

The Mujib Year officially ended on March 31 last.

Meanwhile, the media centre report of the National Implementation Committee was also presented to the prime minister.
