BNP's former vice chairman and former minister late Chowdhury Kamal Ibne Yusuf's wife Begum Shyala Kamal passed away.
She died of old-age complications at Evercare Hospital in the city on Wednesday morning.
Begum Shyala Kamal was buried at her family graveyard after namaz-e-janaza on Moyezuddin High School ground in Faridpur after Asr prayer.
Shyala Kamal was also the mother of Jatiyatabadi Mohila Dal central committee joint secretary Chowdhury Nayab Yusuf.
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Begum Shyala Kamal.
In a condolence message, he prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
