The Public Service Commission has announced the schedule for the 41st and 42nd Bangladesh Civil Service examinations.
It will hold the 41st BCS preliminary examinations in all the centres throughout Bangladesh from 10:00am to 12:00pm on March 19.
Earlier, on February 26, the 42nd special BCS MCQ tests will be held in only Dhaka from 3:00pm to 5:00pm.
The commission said in the announcement on Wednesday that information about the examination halls, seat plan and other instructions will be published in detail later on its website.
Through the 41st BCS examination, the government will fill up 2,166 vacancies, including 323 in the administration cadre, 642 in the general cadre, 619 in the professional and technical cadre, and 892 in general education cadre.
The government is going to appoint 2,000 doctors through the 42nd special BCS amid the coronavirus crisis.
Nearly half a million candidates have applied for the 41st BCS exams while more than 31,000 are vying for the government doctor posts through the 42nd BCS tests, reports bdnews24.com.
