The government has sent 17 senior officers of the Bangladesh Police on retirement.

The Home Ministry on Thursday issued a notification, signed by Senior Secretary Monzur Morshed Chowdhury, following the order of the President.
The officers were sent on retirement are Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Highway Police Mohammad Abdullah Hel Baki, DIG of Bangladesh Police Academy (BPA), Sardah, Md Walid Hossain, DIG of Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Sana Shaminur Rahman, Joint Police Commissioner (Additional DIG) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Farida Yasmin, Addl DIG of CID Mohammad Sarwar Hossain, Addl DIG of Tourist Police Bidhan Tripura; Addl DIG of Police Staff College Dr AKM Iqbal Hossain, Addl DIG of Armed Police Battalion (APBn) Soheli Ferdous, Addl DIG of CID Rebeka Sultana, Addl DIG of Bangladesh Police Academy, Sardah, Mohammad Tabarak Ullah, Addl DIG of Police Telecom Hasina Rahman, Addl DIGs of Police Headquarters Faisal Mahmud and Kaniz Fatema, Addl DIG of Tourist Police Sultana Nazma Hossain, Addl DIG of River Police Jesmin Begum, Deputy Police Commissioner of Rangpur Metropolitan Police Md Habibur Rahman and Superintendent of Police (SP) of Traffic Driving School (TDS), Dhaka, Abdur Rahim Shah Chowdhury.
According to the notification, the retired officers will be entitled to all retirement benefits in accordance with the service rules.
