Mohammad Shahriar, managing director of Adzi Trims Ltd, has been elected as president of Bangladesh Garments Accessories and Packaging Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGAPMEA) for the next two years.
Mohammad Shahidullah Chowdhury was elected as first vice president and Md Maniruzzaman Molla as second vice president, while Md Mobarok Ullah and Mozaharul Haque Shahid were elected as vice president and vice president finance, according to a statement of the trade body.
The new office bearers, led by Mr Shahriar, took charge on May 26 as per the election results announced on May 21, it added.
The newly elected 16 directors included Kazi Fahad, Mohammad Firoz Uddin, Md Nasirul Alam, Md Saiful Islam Sabuz, Zahir Uddin Md Babor, A K M Mostafa Selim, Md Rafiqul Islam Chowdhury and A T M Kamruzzaman.
The rest are Jamil Ahmed, Kazi Ashraful Hoque Jewel, Md. Atikur Rahman, Mohammad Jasim Uddin, Md Shahidul Islam Chowdhury, Md Abdul Wazed, Mohammad Belal and Belal Uddin.
