Mominul first to score century in both innings for Tigers

Mominul Haque becomes the first Bangladesh batsman, scoring a century in both innings of a Test Match.

Haque came in near the end of play on Day 4 and has steadied a Bangladesh innings that looked shaky after three quick wickets in the Chittagong Test against Sri Lanka on Saturday.

At the end of the 73rd over on Sunday, Bangladesh stood at 257-3, with a 57-run lead over Sri Lanka.

Haque had scored 102*, while his partner Liton Das was on 84*. The partnership between the two was 177 runs, reports bdnews24.

Haque was also the star of Bangladesh’s first innings, scoring 176. With the two innings, Haque has broken the record for the most runs scored by a Bangladeshi batsman in a Test match.
