Genex Infosys generates highest turnover

Ten most traded companies accounted for 27 per cent transactions on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) on Thursday, with Genex Infosys Ltd. dominating the turnover chart.
Market analysts said investors continued to show their appetite for Genex Infosys shares ahead of its annual general meeting scheduled for December 24.
The IT company's share price also soared 23 per cent or Tk 12.60 within one month since November 20.
According to the DSE data, some 514,464 shares of Genex Infosys were traded, generating a turnover of 114 million, which was 4.22 per cent of the day's total turnover of Tk 2.76 billion.
The company's share closed at Tk 68, soaring 4.45 per cent over the previous day. Its share traded between Tk 31.80 and Tk 69 in the last one year.
The Genex Infosys, which made its trading debut on DSE on February 6 this year, recommended 5.0 per cent cash and 15 per cent stock dividend for the year ended on June 30, 2019.
The company has also reported earnings per share (EPS) of Tk 2.71, net asset value (NAV) per share of Tk 16.70 and net operating cash flow per share (NOCFPS) of Tk 4.57 for the year ended on June 30, 2019 as against Tk 2.02, Tk 15.98 and Tk 4.04 respectively for the same period of the previous year.
The company's paid-up capital is Tk 816 million and authorised capital is Tk 1.0 billion while total number of securities is 81.60 million.
The sponsor-directors own 34.46 per cent stake in the company, while institutional investors own 28.46 per cent, foreign investors 0.01 per cent and the general public 37.07 per cent as of November 30, 2019, the DSE data showed.
Khulna Power came second on the turnover chart, with shares worth Tk 103 million changing hands. The power generation company's share jumped 9.54 per cent to close at Tk 44.80 each.
Ring Shine Textiles clinched the third spot, with shares worth Tk 84 million changing hands. The company's share closed at Tk 12.20, losing 4.69 per cent over the previous day.
Beacon Pharma emerged as the fourth, with shares worth Tk 82 million changing hands. The company's share price advanced 0.48 per cent to close at Tk 42.30 each.
Sonar Bangla Insurance notched the fifth spot, with shares worth Tk 72 million changing hands. The company's share closed at Tk 39.40, advancing 5.07 per cent.
The turnover of Golden Harvest Agro Industries was Tk 67 million. The company's share price fell 7.35 per cent to close at Tk 21.90 each.
Standard Ceramic featured a turnover of more than Tk 64 million. The company's share closed at Tk 684.90 each, gaining 2.01 per cent.
The turnover of Paramount Textile was Tk 60 million. The company's share rose 0.87 per cent to close at Tk 57.80 each.
IFAD Autos featured a turnover of Tk 48 million. The company's share closed at Tk 45.50 each, advancing 6.06 per cent.
Bangladesh National Insurance also made its way to the day's top turnover chart, with shares worth Tk 45 million changing hands. The company's share price fell 3.72 per cent to close at Tk 25.90 each.
