Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC Bangladesh Operations has signed a Credit Guarantee Agreement with Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF) under the Credit Enhancement Scheme for FY 2026–27, reinforcing its commitment to expanding access to finance and supporting sustainable economic development.
The agreement signing ceremony was presided over by the Managing Director of PKSF, who signed the agreement on behalf of the organisation in the presence of Deputy Managing Directors and other senior officials of PKSF, according to a press release.
Representing Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC Bangladesh Operations, the Deputy CEO & COO, Mr. Haily Algewatte, graced the occasion and signed the agreement on behalf of the Bank.
The event was also attended by the Managing Directors, Deputy Managing Directors, and senior officials of eleven other participating banks and financial institutions, highlighting the collaborative effort to strengthen credit access through the Credit Enhancement Scheme.
Through this partnership with PKSF, Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC continues to support initiatives that foster financial inclusion, empower businesses, and contribute to the sustainable development of Micro Enterprises in Bangladesh.
