Dutch-Bangla Bank PLC held its 29th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of on June 19, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. through a virtual platform under the Chairmanship of Ms. Sadia Rayen Ahmed, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the bank.
The Chairman welcomed shareholders in the AGM, according to a press release.
A large number of shareholders virtually participated in the AGM of the bank.
In the 29th AGM of the Bank, Shareholders approved 20 per cent Dividend (i.e 10 per cent cash dividend and 10 per cent Stock Dividend per share) for the year 2024.
The Audited Financial Statements of the bank for the year ended December 31, 2024 were placed before the AGM.
The shareholders approved the Financial Statements for the year 2024 and made various observations & suggestions on performance of the bank.
Total assets of the bank as of 31 December, 2024 stood at Taka 679,875.5 million compared to Taka 593,883.1 million of 2023, registering a growth of Taka 85,992.4 million or 14.5 per cent. Loans and Advances of the Bank stood at Taka 428,689.4 million at the end of 2024 with a growth of 4.0 per cent over Taka 412,073.0 million at the end of 2023. The deposits grew by Taka 49,282.4 million to Taka 521,872.5 million in 2024 from Taka 472,590.1 million at the end of 2023 showing a growth of 10.4 per cent.
In 2024, profit before tax of the Bank stood at Taka 5,369.5 million and profit after tax stood at Taka 4,734.8 million. During the year under review, earnings per share, attributable to shareholders, was Taka 5.39. Capital to Risk-weighted Asset(s) Ratio (CRAR) under Basel III stood at 13.8 per cent at the end of 2024 against the Bangladesh Bank’s minimum requirement of 12.50 per cent.
The meeting approved the re-appointment of Ms. Tang Yuen Ha, Ada as Director of the bank.
The meeting also appointed PKF Aziz Halim Khair Choudhury, Chartered Accountants as the external auditor and Hoda Vasi Chowdhury & Co., Chartered Accountants as Corporate Governance Compliance Auditor of the bank for the year 2025.
