A garment worker from Gazipur has won a gold necklace under 'Har Na Mana Har', a remittance campaign launched by Nagad, the digital financial service of the Bangladesh Postal Department, according to a press release Monday.

Umar Faruq received the prize as the fourth winner of the ongoing campaign after a raffle draw. He became eligible after receiving remittance sent by his younger brother, Tarif Mia, who works in Malaysia.
On behalf of Nagad, actress Runa Khan paid a surprise visit to Umar Faruq's workplace at a garment factory in Tongi, Gazipur, to hand over the gold necklace. Three other winners have already received gold necklaces under the campaign.
Launched on May 15, 2026, the 'Har Na Mana Har' campaign aims to encourage expatriate Bangladeshis to send remittances through legal channels.
Under the campaign, customers who receive remittances of at least BDT 10,000 through Nagad via legal channels are automatically entered into a raffle draw for a chance to win a gold necklace.
Expressing his delight after receiving the prize, Umar Faruq, a resident of Netrakona, said his brother regularly sends money from Malaysia through legal channels and that he receives the remittance quickly and conveniently through Nagad.
"Winning a gold necklace along with the remittance was beyond my imagination. This initiative by Nagad has brought immense joy to our family," he said.
HUM Mehedi Sajjad, head of Marketing at Nagad, said expatriate Bangladeshis play a vital role in the country's economy by sending their hard-earned income through legal channels.
"The purpose of the 'Har Na Mana Har' campaign is to honour their invaluable contribution and ensure the convenience of receiving instant remittance safely from home," he said.
Nagad said the campaign will remain in effect until August 31, 2026, with more gold necklaces to be awarded to remittance recipients during the promotional period as part of its efforts to boost remittance inflows through legal channels and reward expatriate families.
