Jewellers in Bangladesh have again hiked the price of gold.
People will have to buy the best quality (22 carat) gold at Tk 118,460 a bhori (11.664 grams), up by Tk 1,178 from the existing price of Tk 117,282 a bhori.
The new price will be effective from Sunday (May 19).
Bangladesh Jewellers’ Association (Bajus) attributed this increase to the price hike of pure gold in the local market.
