The number of human hauler registration in Dhaka has witnessed a slight dip last year compared to those in 2017, as per official data.
In 2018, the number of human hauler registration was 211, which was 217 the year before, according to Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) statistics.
A total of 5,373 such mode of vehicles has been registered with the BRTA in the capital until 2018, the figures showed.
The number of registered human hauler in the capital stood at 787 in 2016, the BRTA data further added.
In absence of well planned public transport system, human haulers have become an important alternative for commuters in the different parts of the country.
