An 'Intern Job Fair', organised by the leading job portal Bdjobs.com, is currently underway at the Krishibid Institution Bangladesh (KIB) auditorium in the capital's Farmgate area.
The day-long recruitment event aims to bridge the professional experience gap for fresh graduates by connecting them with paid internship opportunities.
More than 100 local and multinational corporate employers are participating in the ongoing fair with a target to recruit approximately 2,500 interns.
Organisers anticipate a turnout of over 25,000 recent graduates by the end of the day.
Recognising the widespread difficulties young candidates face in securing entry-level corporate jobs without prior practical experience, Bdjobs has been hosting this specialised fair for the past two years to ease their transition into the formal workforce.
A major highlight of the fair is a comprehensive 'Test Interview' segment running concurrently throughout the day.
Senior human resource officials from various renowned corporate entities are conducting these interactive sessions to alleviate interview apprehensions among freshers and provide them with pragmatic career directives.
An opening ceremony was held in the morning which was presided over by Bdjobs.com Founder and Chief Executive Officer Fahim Mashroor.
