The total number of mobile phone subscribers stood at 162.583 million till August, as per data by telephone regulators.
Among them, Grameen Phone Ltd (GP) has the highest 75.619 million subscribers while Robi Axiata Limited (Robi) has 47.760 million subscribers, according to Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC).
Banglalink Digital Communications Limited has 34.817 million subscribers and Teletalk Bangladesh Ltd (Teletalk) has 4.387 million subscribers, the regulator added.
The data also revealed that there were 157.544 million subscribers by the end of January this year.
