The number of registered motorised vehicles in the first four months of this year stood at 175,747, as per official data.
Of the total, 55,962 vehicles were registered in Dhaka alone, according to data by Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA).
Among them, the highest number of registered vehicles was motor cycles while cargo vans were the lowest number registered vehicles.
141,129 motorcycles were registered in January to April while only two cargo vans registered were registered with the BRTA.
A total of 3,973,227 motorised vehicles were registered until January 2019, the figures showed.
