Sonali Bank mobile app ‘Sonali e-Wallet’ clinches ‘Best Innovation’ award

The government has awarded Sonali Bank PLC’s mobile app ‘Sonali e-Wallet’ as the best innovative initiative among state-owned commercial banks.
Sonali e-Wallet has been selected as the best innovation by the Financial Institutions Division, Ministry of Finance for implementing e-governance and innovation plans for 2023-24, says a media release.
On behalf of the bank's Chief Executive Officer Md Afzal Karim, its Deputy General Manager Md Jahirul Islam received the award from State Minister for Finance Waseqa Ayshan Khan at a function at the Finance Ministry on Tuesday.
Financial Institutions Division Secretary Md Abdur Rahman Khan presided over the award distribution programme.
Among others, Financial Institutions Division Additional Secretary Mafiz Uddin Ahmed, Deputy Secretary Farida Yasmin and other top officials were present at the programme.
