10th 10+3 Media Cooperation Forum opens in China

The tenth 10+3 Media Cooperation Forum started here on Sunday with a call for greater cooperation and interaction among media outlets and media people to give an impetus to an inclusive and mutual development of Asian economies.

Over 110 media representatives and delegates from different Asian countries including host China are taking part in the forum.

The theme of the 10th episode of the forum is “An Open and Inclusive China in Asia’s Development and Prosperity”.

Deputy Editor at the People’s Daily of China Fang Jiangshan and Standing Committee Member and Head of Publicity Department, Communist Party of China Sichuan Provincial Committee of China Gan Lin, Deputy Secretary-General, Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat Cao Jing, Head of Chinese Media Group, Singapore Press Holdings Ltd, Singapore  Lee Huay Leng, among others, spoke on the occasion.

Highlighting the aims and objectives of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), speakers said China has adopted the concept to enhance connectivity and the pace of development among the countries.

According to them, the concept of BRI is not only to develop China, but it also aims betterment of other economies across the globe.

The opening session of the forum was followed by a discussion session where media representatives and foreign delegates lauded the China’s BRI.

They also observed that media can play constructive and vital role in fostering the development of Asian countries.

Later, a reception dinner was hosted in honour of media representatives and foreign delegates.
