ECNEC approves eight projects worth Tk 18.93b

The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) on Tuesday approved eight projects involving an estimated cost of over Tk 18.93 billion.

The approval came from the first ECNEC meeting of the newly formed government held at the NEC Conference Room in the city with its Chairperson and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair.

Briefing reporters after the meeting, Planning Minister MA Mannan said, "A total of eight projects were approved in the today's meeting."

The entire fund will come from the national exchequer, UNB reported.

Of the projects, seven are new while the remaining one is revised project.
