The National Board of Revenue (NBR) has collected over Tk 170 million income taxes in the Tax Fair in Mymensingh.
Zonal Taxes Commissioner, Mymensingh Abul Mansur said a total of 21,222 tax payers submitted income tax return and 1,773 new tax payers have received in Electronic Tax Identification Number (TIN) from the fair.
Over 0.12 million peoples received tax related services in the fair, reports BSS.
The revenue board arranged the Income Tax Fair at the Gymnasium from 13 to 19 November in the city.
Tax payers said they submitted returns and received Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) in short time and without any harassment.
They also thanked the NBR and Regional office for their good management and all out cooperation.
On the other hand, Zonal Tax Commissioner expressed satisfaction for the presence of increasing number of taxpayers in the fair.
He thanked the taxpayers and concerned officials for their services and cooperation.
