Court jails two proxy examinees at IU  

A mobile court in Kushtia on Friday sentenced two students to one-year imprisonment for acting as proxy for others in the 'C' unit admission test of Islamic University (IU) under Humanities and Social Science Faculty for 2017-18 academic session. 

The convicts Kazi Ferdous Hasan Joy, a final year student of Dhaka University's Social Sciences Department, and Sabbir Rahman, a first year student of Social Sciences Department of Jessore MM College, reports UNB.

IU Proctor Prof Dr M Mahbubar Rahman said duty invigilators suspected the duo as they found dissimilarities in photographs of the admit cards of the students.

At one stage, they confessed to acting as proxy.

Ferdous was appearing at the examination for Firoz Ahmed while Sabbir for Tanmoy.

Later, the university authorities handed them over to mobile court which jailed them.
