A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on Thursday between Dr Wazed Training and Research Institute (DWRTI) of Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur (BRUR) and Centre for Peace and Justice (CPJ) of BRAC University.
The MoU was singed at a function held at the conference room of the administrative building of BRUR on the campus yesterday afternoon, said a press release.
Vice-chancellor Professor Dr Nazmul Ahsan Kalimullah of BRUR and Executive Director of Center for Peace and Justice of BRAC University Manjur Hasan signed the MoU on behalf of their respective institutions, said a BSS report.
Signing of the MoU will pave the opportunity to the teachers and students of the two universities for extending mutual assistance and cooperation in research and academic activities and organising various workshops, seminars and symposiums.
Associate Professor of the Department of Peace and Conflict Studies of the University of Dhaka Dr Saber Ahmed Chowdhury, Academic Coordinator of the Center for Pitch and Justice of BRAC University Shahriar Sadat, Director of DWRTI and Research Coordinator of Centre for Peace and Justice of BRAC University Muhammad Badiuzzaman, Entrepreneurship Specialist Parveen Sultana Huda, Research Associate and Programme Officer Zia Uddin, Lecturers of BRUR Razia Sultana, Mahua Shabnam and Kuntola Chowdhury and other officials of the universities were present.
