Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) distributed academic awards among its meritorious students at a ceremony held on the university campus in Dhaka.
Vice Chancellor Professor M. Omar Rahman, along with the Pro-Vice Chancellor Professor Milan Pagon and Registrar Brig Gen (Retd) Md Anwarul Islam, distributed the awards at the programme on Sunday.
The awards were given in two different categories: students on Vice Chancellor’s honour list received Tk 10,000 each and students on Dean’s honour list received Tk 5,000 each for their academic achievements.
A total of 146 students from senior, junior, freshmen and sophomore years received the awards.
Deans and heads of different schools and departments, members of the faculty and administration, parents and guardians, and students of the university attended the ceremony.
