Dhaka Regency Hotel & Resort celebrated ‘World Tourism Day’ recently with the theme-Tourism For All. This year’s theme helped promoting the International Year of Sustainable Tourism for Development, through three dimensions of sustainable development – economic, social and environmental – and each of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
The representatives and associates from all departments of Dhaka Regency celebrated the day with a rally led by Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Rashed Khan Menon from Motssho Bhaban to TSC Circle.
World Tourism Day 2017 presents a unique opportunity to raise awareness on the contribution of sustainable tourism to development among public and private sector decision-makers and the international community, while mobilising all stakeholders to work together in making tourism a catalyst for positive change, said a statement.
