MOMI screens ‘Ankhi O Tar Bondhura’ in New York

Museum of the Moving Image (MOMI), a media museum located in Astoria, in association with the Consulate General of Bangladesh has screened ‘Ankhi O Tar Bondhura’ (Akhi and Her Friends) movie.

The children's adventure movie was played at 7:30pm on Friday in the historic museum, says a media release.

Masud Bin Momen, Bangladeshi diplomat and Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Bangladesh to the United Nations, was present at the programme as the chef guest.

He said country's permanent mission to the United Nations has been playing an important role to keep the right of specially challenged people.

Sadia Faizunnesa, Consul General of Bangladesh in New York, gave the welcome speech at the programme.

In her speech, she presented how the specially challenged people can play the important role in the society if they get help.

Director and filmmaker of the 'Ankhi O Tar Bondhura' Morshedul Islam was also present at the event.

The film tells the story of a visually challenged girl and her friends who support her to express & enhance her talents and their adventure.
