Novo Nordisk, in association with ‘Comilla Club’ and ‘Bondhu Forum Comilla’, has organised a free medical camp and rally about health awareness, Diabetics & Glaucoma in Comilla city recently.
Freedom Fighter AKM Bahauddin Bahar MP inaugurated the day-long medical camp on Friday while Danish Ambassador Mikael Hemniti Winther was the special guest, says a media release.
Lieutenant General Md. Mustafizur Rahman, directorate general of drug administration & member of Comilla Bondhu Forum, presided over the programme.
Journalist Nitish Saha, Heart specialist Dr. Md. Toufikur Rahman, Diabetics specialist Dr. M. A. Jalil Amsary & Dr. Muhammad Saiful, Head of Marketing of Novo Nordisk were also present there.
A rally took place from the town hall before the inauguration programme. The rally also ended in the town hall by walking the circle of Kandirpar.
More than five hundreds patient took diabetics test and given free treatment and medicine in the day long camp, the release said.
Almost 300 patients were given eye treatment with the help of Leo Club of Gendaria. Moreover a seminar also held in the Comilla Club Auditorium in the evening.
The “Bondhu Forum Comilla” is founded with the students of SSC candidates-1987 & 1988 from Comilla Zila School and some other schools.
