A total of 1016 platoons of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) have been deployed in different parts of the country, including the capital, ahead of the national election slated for December 30.
Mohsin Reza, Public Relations Officer (PRO) of BGB Pilkhana headquarters confirmed the matter, UNB reported.
The border guards were deployed at different parts of the country in the morning to assist administration to avert untoward incidents centering the polls, he said.
