Dhaka and Bandar Seri Begawan on Monday signed seven instruments for strengthening cooperation mainly in the fields of agriculture, fisheries, livestock, culture and sports, and LNG supply.

The signing follows a meeting between Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Brunei's Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah at the Istana Nurul Iman, the official residence of the Sultan of Brunei in Bandar Seri Bagawan.

Of the seven instruments, six are memorandums of understanding (MoUs) and the seventh is an exchange of notes.

One of the MoUs is on scientific and technical cooperation in the field of agriculture, according to UNB news agency.

The five others are on cooperation in the field of livestock, fisheries, youth and sports, supply of LNG, and the exchange of notes on exemption of visa for holders of diplomatic and official passports.

The ministers concerned of the two countries inked the MoUs and exchange of notes, said Foreign Secretary Md Shahidul Haque while briefing reporters.
