BGB detains five drug pedlars in C’nawabganj

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested five alleged drug pedlars with 100 bottles of phensidyl syrup from Barinagar under Godagari upazila in Rajshahi district during the early hours of Friday.

The arrestees were identified as Md Rezaul Karim Tota, 50, Md Al Miraj, 19, Md Monsur Ali, 28, Md Minarul Islam, 36, and Md Mainul Islam, 30, all from Godagari upazila in Rajshahi district.

BGB said acting on secret information, a 53-battalion patrol team in Chapainawabganj along with the members of DMC border outpost, raided the aforesaid area at around 4:00am and arrested them with the bottles of contraband syrup, reports BSS.

After the bust, the arrestees were handed over to Godagari Police with a case.
